Full Pages in HD Are Available Here!!

Welcome to Trapped!! This is a comic series I've been working on for a little over six years now. This series is based on my favorite content creators being "Trapped" in their computers and traversing through games that they have already played before. Will they survive? Only one way to find out!!

I been working on this comic for many years, taking care of the writing, sketching, line art, backgrounds, and text bubbles. However, I have a main group of artists that assist me in shading the characters. Each set, I will also take one or two pages to complete myself, OR I will complete the pages my crew are not able to do. I am honored to work with such a talented group of people!!

Page Process

Script, Layout and Clean Sketches

My "Layout Pass" of the scene

My "Clean Sketch Pass" of the scene

I always start with my script, processing through different drafts of the story until I am feeling good about the scene. Once I have the script divided into pages, I build my scenes based on the dialog and environment notes. Sometimes my scripts can change slightly during this phase of production.

Line art, Backgrounds and Speech Bubbles

This stage takes the longest, as the most rendering and revisions happen here. I combine all three stages because this is how a page would be delivered to one of my team members. I will have the background already done, and the characters are transparent so they can be shaded. I also send the team member a noted version of the same page including special FX, lore important details, and lighting direction notes.

Final Render

This is a page I have fully rendered myself, so I will use it to help explain the process. There is no "set" shading style for any of my comics. My team is allowed to shade their page however they like. I decided to use a combination of cell shading and digital painting for this page. I also tend to use many blend modes to make my FX pop, such as add, multiply, and color dodge layers to name a few.

Character Sheets and References

These are flat color reference sheets provided to my comic team to follow as their base colors for each character.
